Some members liked the idea of having a kink meme/comment fic meme on got_exchange, especially since the other ASOIAF/GoT kink memes are fairly dead at the moment. (It's only posted on the mod account journal because I don't want anonymous comments on the exchange comm.)

Just because this came to me while plotting for different fic and now it won't get out of my head.

Post-Red Wedding AU. Beric Dondarrion revives Robb rather than Catelyn. (Let's pretend that the bit with the... maiming/sewing direwolf body parts on Robb's corpse didn't happen and they just threw him out in the river.) How do things change? Feel free to go wherever. He can retain some humanity or go as batshit crazy as Cat did in canon or a mix of both, I'm just dying to see any take on this. (Please just don't kill Brienne in the process, anything else goes.)

This ended up getting quite lengthy, so I sort of had to cut it off at the end. I wanted to write more and do some editing, but I've been ignoring a major school project all day to work on this. :S So, I hope you like what I came up with even if it's a bit rushed! It's also split up kind of awkwardly because there were a lot of breaks in the writing, and I didn't want to break up the parts that were together in comments... So some parts that are on here are kinda short, because the next section was too long to fit in one comment as well

The bodies of Robb's men had been buried in a shallow mass grave, and he smelled the stench of rotting flesh as they approached. The grave was far from the castle; the Freys must not have wanted to be bothered by the smell, or the scavengers it attracted. They had not bothered to dig it deep enough to stop animals from digging it up again. They hadn't even bothered to bury Grey Wind, whose body rested atop the torn mound

Robb's Brotherhood did not even need to kill the scouts when they approached the camp in the dead of night. Nymeria did that for them, and she and her little cousins had muzzles stained red by the time Robb finally entered Boltons camp. The men at the outskirts had died silently, their throats torn by the wolves. The camp was so still, the men sleeping shoulder to shoulder, that Robb thought of his own men in their grave, together in their eternal rest. The guards at the Freys tent died with no more noise than the singing of the arrows loosed by Robb's men. His sword took off Aenys Frey's head before the man awoke

The grate beneath the eastern castle of the Twins gave out with enough ease, once Robb's men had battered the stones at its edge. The wolves did not like to swim, but Nymeria braved the waters with him. They started far upstream to avoid being seen, covering their makeshift rafts with rushes to appear as drifting debris in the darkness. The current was strong and swift, and more than once Robb wondered if he wouldn't join his mother beneath the surface. He heard the chorus of howls behind him as he crawled into the dark passages beneath the castle. Walder Frey would hear it, too. And he would hear the screams of his family as Robb made his way through the castle

... OH MY GOD MY FEELINGS.

Okay, first I hope that your school project goes well. And oh my this is AWESOME even as it is.

And that said, SERIOUSLY ALL MY FLAILING. This sounds absolutely plausible/believable and I just love what you did with Robb here - I mean I love that he's totally insane for revenge but at the same time he still cares for at least his family and definitely still feels for Jeyne. And he still cares enough that he gives painless deaths to women/children. And I love that instead of hanging he kills everyone himself - it feels so very IC. Also I loved all the passing references to Catelyn in this.

Also I died when Nymeria showed up and they started working in unison. It felt right that since he lost his direwolf he'd end up connecting with Arya's. (Also the bit with Grey Wind made me wibble ;__;)

Thank you! I'm glad the prompt got filled to your liking, I must say it was very fun to write. I love making characters (especially Starks) go a little bit dark while trying to keep them... Stark-y, in this case! And I love Robb, so your prompt was like extra bonus for me!

Nymeria showed up by surprise when I was writing actually. I decided halfway through I liked the idea of Robb with all these wolves at his heels as he took out the Freys, and obviously I liked the idea that Nymeria would help him-- provided he helped her after of course.

I feel bad for Roslin, too, in fact that scene is majorly toned down from the original, because at first it was beyond raw and just kind of brutal. D:

Anyway, I really should get back to this project (ughhhh) but I'm so glad you liked it!

This is so amazing and zombie!Robb (LOL, Rob Zombie) is so much creepier than unCat. The last paragraph is especially chilling. I pity Jeyne here.

Hahaha Rob Zombie... I will be entertained for hours. Yeah, I think it makes Robb creepy that you get to see in his head. I'm sure if we saw UnCat's thoughts she would be fucking terrifying. The last paragraph is definitely meant to be chilling, because it means Robb has many more zombie fun times in his Future!!!^.^
