Some members liked the idea of having a kink meme/comment fic meme on got_exchange, especially since the other ASOIAF/GoT kink memes are fairly dead at the moment. (It's only posted on the mod account journal because I don't want anonymous comments on the exchange comm.)

That was even more heartbreaking than the first part. Oh Davos. <3 His devotion is beautiful, and how he knows exactly what Stannis wants and needs. I especially love how he thinks about kissing Stannis, wondering what it would be like - and I'm fairly sure that Stannis really didn't kiss anyone since that wedding. Baw. :(

Gotta write a fic one day where they confess... or at least kiss... but hard to do it and keep them both alive.

Yep. I think if they ever kissed, they'd stop immediately, Stannis would be embarrassed and beyond himself, Davos would just be worried because he knows that Stannis will beat himself up for this ...

Heh. Stannis and sex is hard to imagine... :D I think with Davos, even hugging and kissing would be enough for them both. They just need it so much.

Well, I don't buy this whole "Stannis is asexual" theory at all, so I have no trouble imagining him HAVING sex. I only have trouble imagining a situation in which he gets over his repression and allows himself to have sex. Though I'm fairly sure once you get Stannis going, he won't stop at hugging and kissing. So much pent-up lust and longing ... either he stops completely or he goes on, no hugging with nothing else. ;) But he could use a hug, seriously.

Yeah, he's so full of repressed passion. He's like a seemingly dormant volcano. Once it erupts there will be SEX. Or blood. Or something epic.

I looove characters who suffer from UST. My other favourite is Captain Vere - so very English, so very repressed and so deep in the closet he's almost in Narnia. And he wears sexy Napoleonic-era uniforms... :D His UST and inability to resolve it led to the death of his crush and much angsting.

EXACTLY. That man is full of repressed passion and lust and dreams he barely allows himself to dream. He wouldn't be so anti-sensual if he didn't feel tempted himself. He IS a Baratheon, he does have their explosive, passionate temper, he just keeps it (too much) in check, unlike his "Imma gonna do whatever I want" brothers.

UST is fascinating. There is just so much more you can do with that than with characters who just happily fuck around without any conflict or doubt.

Yeah, characters without conflict are boring. That's why I'm all "meh" when it comes to Renly/Loras. They mean nothing to me.

Yep. I mean, Renly/Loras is cute, but I don't even want to read fic about them, let alone write them.

I don't read them. Just... no.

Now Loras' grief is touching, but since they aren't POVs, they're a bit distant.

Stannis is as good as a POV. He's easy to get into.

Ohhhh, poor things! I love Davos imagining what Stannis's kiss would be like. And Stannis's guilt, and Davos's silent reassurance.... I love them both. Great job!
