Some members liked the idea of having a kink meme/comment fic meme on got_exchange, especially since the other ASOIAF/GoT kink memes are fairly dead at the moment. (It's only posted on the mod account journal because I don't want anonymous comments on the exchange comm.)

Fastest fill ever!! I haven't read ADWD but I decided to read this anyway! "If you ever gave me reason to, I would behead you myself." From any other man it would have been a threat. Stannis' voice sounded almost affectionate, though, respectful. "I've heard that's the Northern way, that the lord carries out the execution himself."

That's so Stannis! :) I like it. Hmm, I wonder if anyone has written fic where Stannis is a Stark? I can see it, myself!

I can never resist a Stannis/Jon prompt. ;) And it doesn't really have ADWD spoilers, other than the fact that the epic love between Stannis and Jon only really gets going in ADWD.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. ^^ Stannis has a bizarre way of saying nice things to people.
And he has such a Northern temperament. He's like the perfect mixture between a Stark and a Baratheon, he has the good qualities of both, but without their bad qualities (neither the Starks' Lawful Stupid code of honour, nor the Baratheons' lack of self-control). I could definitely see him as a Stark. But as it is, I just like to hook him up with Starks. ;)

Which is a roundabout way of saying yes, he really does have a northern temperament in a lot of ways! So different to his brothers.

I considered Stannis/Ned, but I really don't see it happening, somehow, not with Ned's obsession with Robert. I can see Stannis/Lyanna - not to mention that it would account for Robert's hatred for Stannis. But I doubt they ever met, Stannis wasn't at Harrenhal, I believe.
Speaking of Stannis/Ned, though, I think part of Stannis likes the thought of sleeping with someone who looks like Ned, like Robert's BFF ... and everyone always says how much Ned and Jon look alike. ^^

I'm so happy that Stannis is in the North in canon right now. It's kind of perfect. Makes me even sadder that they never got around to having a Stannis&Robb alliance.

Love this pairing. There's almost a father and son dynamic at work here but not quite, because it's still really unconsciously slashy between them.

It's one of the many things I love about them, the mixture between the slash and this "the son I never had" feeling on Stannis' side.

You WOULD be the one to fill the first prompt, so diligent dear mod. haha. I think you might be making me begin to ENJOY Jon/Stannis. Which is troublesome indeed for such a hardcore Robb/Jon fan as I. But they do seem to fit perfectly together, I confess... especially here! A very well-filled prompt.

Can't resist a Stannis/Jon prompt. ^^ I'm glad I can convert you to the awesomeness that is this pairing. You wouldn't want poor Jon to be alone and unloved his whole life after losing Jon, that'd just be cruel. ;)

Too true! Jon does need someone new after losing Robb, and maybe it's for the best that he has someone intelligent this time. I'm one of those total losers who loves Robb even though he's boring as dry wheat, but he's just so dumb sometimes. Stannis has a good head on his shoulders! :p

I don't dislike Robb, I just find him utterly boring. And Robb/Jon just leaves me cold, which is weird because I usually jump at brothercest ships. ;) But Stannis and Jon were just made for each other. They're like braintwins. ^^

Stannis and Jon are definitely a lot alike, circa ADWD at least. I think that's why I couldn't bring myself to initially ship them, I'm big on polar opposite ships, which is probably why I love Robb/Jon so much... But the more Jon/Stannis I read, the more I have to confess it could work.

I never thought I'd ship them before they met, but from their first scene onwards I just shipped the like crazy. Stannis smiles at Jon in their first conversation, and he doesn't smile at anyone but Davos. I like polar opposites, too, I mean, I ship Stannis/Sansa. ;) But sometimes it's also nice to have pairings who just seem to be two halves of the same person. And I think Stannis is someone who feels so incredibly lonely and misunderstood that he could easily fall for someone whom he feels is like him.

Loneliness and misunderstanding are some of my favourite ship motivations actually. (I'm a weirdo iknowkthx). The only pitfall of Jon/Stannis is the inevitable ANGST the two of them would get up to together.

No, loneliness and misunderstanding are awesome in ships. :D Of course they'd angst, but I also really think they'd be good for each other and make each other less miserable, in the long term.

I love that the two of them seem to have a dynamic that can very easily be interpreted as either father-son or more slashy; great fill!! :)
