What kinds of fic (genres, characters, pairings) do you refuse to beta read? I'm happy to read anything, including pretty much all common triggers or kinks.
Anything else? I'm pretty good at fast turnaround of editing, but I may have to decline a request depending on my teaching schedule or academic workload. My preferred editing style is to use the Comment feature in Word for style/characterization stuff plus track changes for spelling/grammar, but I can also write more generalized feedback if preferred.

I'm a college-level instructor finishing a PhD in Communication and have worked as a freelance editor before, as well.

What kinds of fic (genres, characters, pairings) do you refuse to beta read? I'm pretty okay with most things, however anything with torture is really out for me. And really because of that I won't do Boltons in general I'm afraid.
Anything else? I'm in university, but will have enough free time to do this until quite close to the deadline for the exchange. However, at that point I may have no time to beta.

What kinds of feedback can you give or not give? (spelling, grammar, style, characterisation etc.): I've read all of the books but my knowledge of the show is limited to what I hear on tumblr, so don't expect me to give any detailed characterization pointers other than Show Shae is nice! Outside of those parameters, I'm good with book characterization, particularly that of the Starks (especially Sansa), older Baratheons, and the Greyjoys. Most of my beta corrections will probably be in the spelling/grammar/style area, such as correcting overly-wordy sentences. My thoroughness/areas of expertise are dependent on how long before the deadline I receive a story, so please be prompt
