[Sarah Jane is just grinning. She can't help it.]

Doctor, Jack, Amy, have you seen this?

[She turns the PCD so it can get a good view of what she's so excited about. Yep, Sarah Jane has discovered Fallingwater.]Isn't it incredible? You see it in books all the time, but I've never seen it up close like this! Do you suppose it's vacant? I'd ( Read more... )

[ Dora has a grin on her face. It doesn't have anything do with the Animus. ]

That's a lovely house.

It really is. It's over in the 'States, and not anywhere I've had to travel on business, so I've never gotten to see it up close like this.

[Neither does hers, at the moment.]

Thinking about taking it over if no one has already?

Possibly. I'd have to see how stable it is first. Frank Lloyd Wright was a rather eclectic architect. Right now, I'm still getting my fill of the view.

Oh, well, if you need any help stabilizing anything, let me know. I might be able to do something about it.

[Her eyes light up at that, and she can't help but grin. No way, as any of her gang would say at home. But the woman does look almost exactly the way Sarah Jane pictured her from reading.]

Good to meet you, Tonks. Sarah Jane Smith.

It's nice to meet you too Sarah Jane.

[ Wait...

Wait...

Wait just a bloody minute! ]

Did I hear you wrong? Did you call for The Doctor?

No, you heard correctly. Have you met him?

[Oh, wouldn't he love that!]

He's here?

[ Tonks blinks. ]

No, I haven't met him. I've just heard a few stories is all.

[She raises an eyebrow. Tonks has heard of the Doctor. Tonks. Has heard of the Doctor. She knows enough about parallel worlds, having been to one or two in her travels, to realise that it might not be exactly the same, but...wow. She has to work to keep the grin off her face.]

He is. Two of him, actually. What have you heard.

[Soooooo curious!]

There's two of them? Huh. Oh, well, not much.

[ Because how is she going to tell someone that they're fictional? ]

Just that he travels around a lot, has a few companions, and wears a vegetable.

[She can't help but chuckle at that last. A vegetable? Honestly?]

Two out of three. I've never seen him wear a vegetable. Giant scarf, velvet and frills, pinstripes and trainers, and now, apparently, braces and a bow-tie. But I've never seen a vegetable. I'll have to ask him if I've missed it somehow.

I traveled with him a bit when I was younger - Harry and I both did - Harry Sullivan, that is. And I've seen him a few times since.

A bow-tie? Who wears a bow-tie? Those aren't cool at all.

[ Tonks is trying extremely hard to not grin like a bloody fool. She's mostly failing. ]

What was it like?

I think my friend Clyde would agree with you. But with the Doctor, it seems anything will suit.

[She shakes her head, still grinning.]

Best thing in the world. In the universe. There is so much out there, waiting to be seen, so many different species to meet. It isn't always fun, but it's worth every hardship, always.
