may i ask what is meant by 'complex'? or is it open to interpretation?

Well all the themes are open to interpretation :) You can for example use many pictures or textures on this icon or make it somehow complex It shouldn't be an icon where you only cropped&coloured lightly... But you can also interpret it in another way.
