Okay, I can't with the Broadway numbers. I like and appreciate some, but the entire club is getting painted with this brush. We need to change it up if we're going to get people in the club. Something hip and current, where ALL of us can shine. We're a rag tag group, but we're talented and can really do something awesome if we put out minds to

See, I definitely feel you on Lady G. We could even go old school Madonna!

I'll be good with whatever we pick, I just really agree that a bit of variety is a great idea.
How about the Beatles? Could we maybe try that? I sort of love them.

I am willing to consider other genres, because it would benefit us as a group to show that we are eclectic, not just in race and gender, but in our musical tastes. But I must impose a Broadway number for each of our competitions, lest I fall deathly ill and can no longer perform my captaincy duties and must then resign my post and membership in the club, at which point you may fight over each other for my position. An unlikely scenario, but it should at least be put out there to alleviate your feelings on the situation.
Furthermore, to show that I have been listening to your concerns, for Wednesday's assembly, we'll be jumping back in time to 1986. I hope you appreciate some old school rapping.

So yes, I am very glad that you are at least willing to expand our repertoire. And yes, I have several musicals that I am very fond of, but I want to keep that fondness. And they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder :)
