Iiii don't think I ever read those, which makes me feel bad because I thought I'd read everything from that era at some point. I was thinking about taking Threepio from either after the movies, or from after the Thrawn trilogy, but I could always cheat and get more up-to-date with wikis. I just feel like that's suboptimal, though.
