Godzilla and Rodan spend a fair portion of the movie just having what VERY LITERALLY amounts to (and very much resembles) a bitchy THIS IS MY SANDBOX D:< fight.

Mothra steps in to convince them to fight the coming monster and they actually SULK. Godzilla flat-out claims that he won't help the humans because they're 'always bullying me.'

Then King Ghidorah comes by, they beat him up for a little bit, and chuck him off a cliff. He flies away and that's pretty much the end of the entire movie. /facepalm

Heh, actually, they're in just about every movie Mothra shows up in as far as I've seen; they come as part of the package. I know of at least three, maybe four, offhand.
