Is there anything you and fandom in general disagree about re: your character? What are your ~unpopular opinions~?

Most of Zatanna's fans are people that jumped on the band wagon when Dini started writing her and most seem to ship her pretty heavily with Bruce. :(

PRETTY MUCH. In general, I can't stand most fans because it's... very... clear... they haven't read anything prior to 2005, if even. When I like a character enough to be confident in discussing them (or RPing them), I like to at least be familiar with say... 60% of their canon? 75-80%+ if they're in less issues than someone like Zee. I've seen some fans discussing her limits when it comes to magic and while there aren't many limitations, the price for her abilities comes in other areas of her life more often than not being able to use magic or being fatigued, etc. It doesn't take much digging into the universe to realize this; before the universe was rebooted, magic was very loosely defined again and the Tenth Age of Magic was just forming. Unfortunately, they didn't do much with it, but there were a lot of consequences for magic users post-Final Crisis and Day of Vengeance and all the tie-ins and follow-ups, particularly since the numbers are now dwindling in her kind ( ... )

And to add to that, I generally mean a percentage of titles based on online lists. Obviously, it is AN ETERNAL STRUGGLE since I don't think there will ever be an official, complete issue lists.

At the time being, I've read every issue that Zatanna's been listed as having appeared in (sans Flashpoint, since I read one issue and bailed) and have read plenty unlisted. I've read a good chunk of Elseworlds and Tangent and DCAU, but I'm sure there are a lot of missing issues. READING ALL THE ISSUES... THIS IS EXCITING TO ME, GUYS. :(

There is always someone complaining on the DC message boards about something (there is one guy on a crusade to make Zauriel a major character...). I imagine Marvel's about the same!

See, my problem is, I don't really participate in fandom. So if I hear something that makes me go "are we reading/watching the same thing?" I never can be sure it wasn't revealed in some obscure magazine interview with the Japanese creator ten years ago and of course all of fandom knows it to be the word of god by now so I need to get with the program.

About the only thing I can think of is regarding Sanji: a lot of artists seem to think his eyes are blue. But as far as I know Oda has revealed nothing about the eye colors of the male characters (the girls get eye colors in the anime but even those are inconsistent) so I go with standard Japanese "dark" or gray or I just don't mention it ever. But I'm willing to acquiesce if someone whips out some SBS article or something that says Sanji has blue eyes...though I've scoured the damn wiki and you'd think that if they were so good about listing every other random SBS trivia about the characters, down to what they smell like and what nationality they would be on Earth, if there was a ( ... )

LMAO ME AND UNPOPULAR OPINIONS god I have like a million. And generally they involve shipping sooo I won't get into that.

Barring that, I don't like how Ggio is sometimes considered the "baby" of his group, like the other arrancar are his family (save for Charlotte; Charlotte was so his fussy big sister). Just because he's short and young doesn't mean he's a little kid, and he's not.

Lavi is often thought of as happy-go-lucky and drowning in angst. While he is the most cheerful of the main four, it's known in canon as well as outside of it that it's mostly an act, and while he does joke around he's not some clown. He doesn't do it near as much currently as he did when he was introduced. Neither is he an angst-bucket; he has issues, but now he's handling them much better, not writing emo poetry alone in his room with his mascara running and Linkin Park blasting. BASICALLY he balances the two sides really well and isn't an extreme in either ( ... )
