It seems DC Comics has teamed up with Nielsen NRG to get some actual stats on comic book readers. Maybe they'll realize that there actually is a female readership out there that they shouldn't alienate!

More info about the survey here for anyone who's interested. I already filled it out myself ( Read more... )

dc the re-launch, lb thinks too much, c&c: we know comics

I was pretty brief in my explanations of why I am disappointed and I said I wasn't interested in a LOT and I only bought two comics.

They processed me, though.

Which two comics, out of curiosity?

Detective Comics and Animal Man.

The first because...well...

And AM because I'd heard good things. I probably would have also gotten Batwoman but I'm le broke.

Thank you for posting about this, LB! I doubt they'll fully listen to it, but here's hoping!

Holding off on submitting it until I read Aquaman today, but already registering my disgust with Adam Glass and Batman #1 in shorthand. :c

You didn't like Batman #1?

:c

my unpopular opinions let me show you them

bumping Dick back to Nightwing and keeping Batman Inc.?? makes no sense to me. I also think the mass 'arkham breakout' thing is overdone (and poorly done, this time) and most of the characters really sounded unbelievably blase (even Batman, the "You ready to do this?" to Joker was cringeworthy to me, and having Joker fistfight the Arkhamites doesn't do much to bring back his level to realistic, among them... which is another unpopular opinion I got.)

About the only one I liked the writing of was Harvey Bullock, and I don't see an entire universe reset as being worth that. 8<

That was Dick though, not the Joker.

I read Nightwing and I think it did a pretty good job convincing me that Dick preferred being Nightwing. He puts it as having his own identity rather than wearing Bruce's skin.
