Yes, Dev has a brother, Mrinalini is the bari bahu (grand daughter in law), and his brother is paralyzed. that's why Dev had to be the heir...
Ah they have all kind of ceremonies you know, i'm sure this one exist but it's "dark ceremony" i believe.
