DaVinci Knew It Could Be Done

Saw a very cool traveling exhibit on Leonardo DaVinci at the National Geographic Museum this weekend. Artisans from the Fondazione Anthropos in Italy took about 60 sketches from DaVinci's notebooks and, using materials, fastening, and connections consistent with the 1400's, made full-size mockups. Sounds like the one that was at the Baltimore Science Center a while back. Xpioti, Jeanniemac and I went up, and took turns going to see the exhibit while the other two watched the offspring in the Kids' Room. Very neat.

That sounds fascinating about the Mona Lisa, and I'd love to see a reconstruction.
