Washington Folk Festival

Spent an enjoyable afternoon yesterday at the first day of the Washington Folk Festival over in Glen Echo Park. We got to see Tom Paxton, Cathy Fink, Magpie, and the All New Genetically-Altered Jug Band. Also got to hang out a bit with jeanniemac and company, including a carousel ride

It sounds wonderful! A couple of Saturday's performers should be at Mystic next weekend, either performing or attending, but I ENVY you today's line-up. I've never seen Flory Jagoda live.
Here's hoping for good weather for you today and for Mystic next weekend. At least no more Tornado Watches!

Interestingly, she apparently wasn't able to make it this year; her associate/apprentice Susan Gaeta took the lead. Still a good session though.
