Poking my head out of a snowbank to give y'all a status report from Buffalo Winterpeg McMurdo Station Maryland. We're all snuggled up warm and cozy here. (Well, except for Luna. She's probably off hiding somewhere.) Brief scare this morning when Nova came demanding food at the usual 6:30am and we discovered the power was off

Glad to hear that you're keeping warm there. We've been getting ominous reports up here about power outages and other problems in your part of MD. Good luck with the digging out.

We've had a couple of power outages. One was during the night on Friday; not too bad since we were snuggled in our beds. The second arrived at about 7:30 last night, which kinda killed the evening. We lit a bunch of candles and read for a bit, then decided to blow 'em all out and go to bed around 9:30.

Power came back around 1am; I woke up and heard the TV going downstairs.

I've succeeded in digging out around the car, now I just have to remove the snow from the car itself. Which has probably become ice at this point. Oh fun.

Glad your electric is back on. I hope the you can get the snow off the car without too much effort. I got a cheap heated ice scraper a couple of years ago that has been a help in a few storms.

Took me 90 minutes on Monday to clear all the snow off my car.

At least most of that was daylight (although I'm sure it was still COLD).

Of course the next part of the adventure is about to begin...
