Is that the sculpture garden in/near Zilker Park? If so, then cool!
Why do you want to wear your mom's wedding dress? I'm not trying to insult your decision or anything, but do you really want to wear something that someone ELSE'S on your wedding day? Don't you want your special own sparkly dress that's just for YOU and fits YOU? From what I've seen on weddingplans is girls that have the same intentions as you and then realise that they will just be wearing an outdated, musty dress that does not do well for their bodies. It's sweet that you want to wear your mom's dress, but (even though I haven't seen it, granted) styles made in the 70s should probably stay in the 70s. Even if you get it altered to fit you well, it's STILL going to just look dated. A dress is supposed to be one of the most important things about a wedding, and the most important thing to the bride so I just encourage you to REALLY think about your decision before making a final one. What you like in the mirror now you have to really evaluate if you're going to be happy

Yes, that's the garden. We checked it out, and it's totally awesome. Really no drawback to having it there so I think we're going to go ahead and get it

Fair enough! I didn't mean to persuade you one way or the other on the dress, I just wanted to make sure you had really thought it through and were doing the right thing for YOU. If you're confident in that, then I'm totally down with your choice (not that you need my 'approval' anyway)! :D
Good luck on getting the sculpture garden! It'd make a totally fantastic venue...I used to love going there.
