There's something very wonky happening as we're getting the Opening Ceremonies live on NBC. True, I live in the Eastern time zone but yeah, come 7:30 (4:30 for you), we're getting the broadcast.

Now, this doesn't mean that I won't have a stream of BBC One going on my computer at the same time so I don't have to worry about commercials.

That is SO weird. I don't understand why they're doing that at all, ugh. I'm wondering if it might be worth it to buy a cord to connect my computer to the television :\

lol CBC fails hard at pretty much everything lately, but CTV is covering them... you probably don't get CTV, though, so that's really unhelpful.

Hmm. Maybe you can find it somewhere online?

Unfortunately not :( The Seattle Times called all the cable companies and literally begged them to pick up CTV and they were basically laughed in the face.
I'm trying to figure out how to make CTV work on my computer, but ha, there's nothing to connect to until the Olympics actually start. Oh well! Weekend project!

One thing after another for NBC. I'm mad that they're airing the USA/Canada men's hockey first round game on MSNbc or some nonsense instead of the main channel. They're determined to keep Americans from being hockey fans. BOO.

It's so ridiculous. Our newspaper here has apparently been angry about this for a while, and they found out that the only live events on NBC's website are curling and hockey. Which is okay, until you realize that you only get to WATCH them if your cable package for television includes USA and MSNBC. *sends them thoughts of hate*

I just found out about the USA/Canada game today... NBC is out to ruin lives. I'm sure of that now, haha.

They totally are. I at least found a forum on their website where a bunch of West Coasters are complaining about being screwed, so I added my two cents and felt a little bit better.
