Yay for goodreads! Kind of a pitiful list though. Got any recs?

I'm reading this book, "Love In The Asylum" by Lisa Carey. I like it so far, but there are no quotation marks for the dialog. Apparently this is not so unusual, but this could take some getting used to  ^_-

It is! I didn't even realize people were talking then I was like, "hey wait a second..."

Drawings/paintings I'm fine with. It's covers that look like stock photos, models or something that I could do without. There are always exceptions. But sometimes I'll read a book and have a certain person, a certain actor in mind for it, but I'll look at the cover and be like, no! That's not who I envision that character to look like. lol.

Haha (okay... my keyboard layout just switched to Arabic when I went to reply to this...)

I hate stock photos. They never make for interesting covers. They rarely have anything to do with the book at all. I always think, "it'll be different, something will come up," and it never does.

Thanks for the recs! I was actually thinking about Everything Is Illuminated, and possibly even checking out the movie (even if I haven't heard the best things about it lol)

That's kinda odd, that there's no quotations for the dialoug. I haven't seen that before, unless it was like a diary type book and even then that sometimes had quotations. lol.

I know, it is! I've seen some Clex fic authors do it, too. Why you wanna confuse me like that? :(

Yeah, I know. I've seen it in the Clex fic, but I've never heard of it being done in an actual novel that was published before. lmao. It is kinda confuzzling. lol.
