I wrote this at work. The first two lines came to me and then the rest of it wrote itself, but the subject matter and the character never made themselves known to me until the last sentence was written. The muse is an odd character at times ( ... )

Ah, I'm a sucker for dark fics!

I don't know what to think of Emily yet, as I have not seen very much of her (except that she's a Kurt Vonnegut fan, apparently). Anyway, this did her good by fleshing her out more, even if it's on the non-canonical side.
