Maybe it's just in retrospect, but this year only seemed o.k. when it came to new music. Maybe it's just because my most anticipated albums came out within the first 5 months of the year, maybe I don't like enough good music, who knows? Anyway, here are the 15 albums I liked the most this year, I guess (in alphabetical order until I remembered ones

I agree with you about this year being mediocre for music--not that I actively tried to find anything good, but still there was nothing I got excited about when I listened to it. Same goes for movies, at least for me. I hope that things really were just okay and we're just not getting old.

ps: i'm pretty excited for the new arcade fire. let me know if you hear anything about new belle and sebastian.
