i'm glad it occured, but was very disappointed with the turnout of participants, the majority of which I determined were from other cities(like nyc, dc). i think people are kind of burnt out on this issue and are ready for another "hot topic" which will be of more sensational value. the thing is, mumia is still being threatened, his struggle is our struggle and his conditions haven't changed much. people can't forget the fact that he has a death sentence hanging over him. i think back in 2000/'02 Philadelphians were more motivated to speak up in large numbers and stand up to the opposition, but that was stifled and now ppl are greedier, more complacent and have their own projects to occupy themselves with.
