You're reading Kafka on the Shore!!!! LOVED IT!!!! Mine is this. "Closed doors shut off a room or our entire home. If either of these functions are impeded, then the chi flow around the house will suffer. Doors which stick, squeak, have broken latches so we scrape our knuckles when we open them, should be repaired. Keep a wedge close to doors that might slam irritatingly in the breeze. Ideally a door should not open to a restricted view of the whole room upon entering.....I stopped copying here because it's my feng shui book and these details are REALLY BORING!!!!!
' "But why would I do that?" asked the scorpion. "It is not in my interests to sting you, because then I will drown."
Although the frog knew how lethal scorpions were, the logic proved quite persuasive. Perhaps, felt the frog, in this one instance the scorpion would keep his tail in check. So the frog agreed. The scorpion climbed onto his back, and together they set off accross the pond. Just as they reached the middle of the pond, the scorpion twitched his tail and stung the frog. '
Believe it or not, from a business book. I'm sitting at my desk at work and it was the nerest actual book, in my overhead bin. It's a parable for not being able to change your nature, you are what you are - I didn't continue reading to find out what the correlation to business is, but in any case it ends badly for both the scorpion and frog :D
Still, for whatever reason the management decided to offer a menu with larger portions when we opened. And on the second day of serve only fiver-sourse meuns
