Started my new job at the Central Branch of the library. I work in an office cube in the basement with a whole bunch of middle-aged women. The few men who work there are very strange and I suspect not all there in the head, which makes me question why they felt the need to hire me there. Oh well. The Central Library downtown, the main library, has decided they want me working for them full-time. I accepted. The New Year should be a good one. I already miss my branch though.

I have an enormous sense of guilt for neglecting my family and old friends. It wouldn't kill me to pick up the phone or write an email. Why is it so hard for me to do so? I don't know.

But I'm still having a great time. Hm. Writing in my journal feels so forced now. I really need to make an effort to update once in a while.

I had a job interview this past week at the Central Library. It went well. The position is office assistant and its full-time. I'd work normal 8 to 5 hours Monday through Friday. It would be something nice to have. Still, I don't want to leave MY library. I'll keep yall updated on what happens ( Read more... )
