Well, I agree it's weird, but from the specific examples of "athletes and singers" I'm assuming his statement has something to do with the recent trend of huge child-support/palimony settlements awarded to women who've sued hip-hop and sports celebrities. See also: Gold Digger by Kanye West. Oh, that baby mama drama.

Still, though, that "nefarious plan" choice of phrasing makes me assume there's some serious misogyny under the surface. Cause, y'know, every woman wants to get knocked up and abandoned by an NBA star with a giant ego, then sue him for 10% of what he makes in a year. That's real success in life, practically just like becoming the CEO of a big corporation.

All that said, though, male contraceptives are a good thing.
