So, my cable system stopped carrying Scripps. I only watched Scripps channels for an hour on Mondays and an hour every weeknight, but I'm still going to miss it.

there is a huge pissing contest between FOX owned networks and Time Warner. Fox wants more money for TW to carry it's programming. TW is telling Rupert Murdoch to shove it. everyone else loses.

Indeed there is. However, Scripps has pulled all programming from Cablevision for the same financial reasons.

Scripps said in a statement that Cablevision is not properly compensating it for the networks, and it's launching a publicity campaign aimed at getting consumers to complain to Cablevision for not carrying them.

Maybe call your cable company and threaten to switch to Dish Network or some other competitor who still carries it?

It's worth a shot. If enough people do it, they might bow to customer pressure.

we've already cancelled cablevision this morning. we're switching to fios.
