Anybody bring up the fact that fracking increased earthquakes in Oklahoma from 2 per year to 2 per day? I don't think that they've been very big earthquakes, but it just seems to me something you'd really not want to mess with.

Yeah after just a few test fracking sites being drilled in the North, they suddenly started having earthquakes in completely geologically stable places. I think that's what really drove the campaign for them to be stopped for a while.

The fact they're fracking on a very large scale on top of major faultlines in the usa is absolutely horrifying.

I don't know why people get so upset about fracking. Having flammable water is cool is hell. /sarc

Yeah, and all those undisclosed chemicals pumped deep into the water table so they can pollute everything from drinking water to crops? That's all awesome. Builds the old constitution up.

Right! Just like when dioxin from sealing the roads got into my grandparent's water supply and they died of abdominal cancers. That's fucking bad ASS!

And I'm sure in 30 years time when large numbers of people are dying horribly from poisoned ground water, the fracking companies will be TERRIBLY SORRY even though it was NEVER THEIR FAULT.
