EMC does not equal 2009

Bummer. The EMC gang have decided to put the con on hold for now and not have an EMC in 2009 due to economics/hotel issues. I fully understand the whys and wherefores, but by golly I had fun at those cons. I sure hope it can be revved up again in 2010.

I know, I saw that last night and was bummed.

Not only was it one of my most fun cons, it was extremely profitable for me.

I think I'm down to maybe 3 conventions this year? I really need to put more time into the local craft market instead.

This will leave me with just 3 conventions, and I'm not dealing at any of them, just art show. But I think except for Christmas, I'll lay off local crafts as well. I just don't see people spending on arts & crafts with the economy in the tank. (And my shoulder is killing me, but that's icing the cake.)

Yeah, it's too bad. I enjoyed it too, but I understand. It's just so hard to keep putting on small cons these days.
