Damn it Jesse, you make me want to get back to writing my own gay storm chasing novel thing :<

Anyway the dialogue in this was again A+ I love the dynamics with Bash and Cory it's well executed and the pacing is well done. A few notes.

People ignoring the Tornado Sirens is pretty serious and I am glad both as a resident of the mid-west and as a budding storm-chaser myself, that you touched on this. People have habit of ignoring warnings in urbanized areas the most Most of t hem don't realize that while the odds of a EF4 knocking at your door are slim in a heavy urbanized place (Now I am in Ohio, I know EF4 have been in OK-City but that's basically tornado town) so most will simply react with apathy. I do this I am not going to lie. I live in Columbus and my reaction is "Who is the paranoid mother fucker now?" problem is people DO cry wolf a lot and people have habit of just ignoring it. It's a bad habit that needs to be broken

KAMIKAZE NERD ARMADA, OMG I WANT THAT AS SHIRT SO BAD NOW. OMG

When I lived in St. Paul, within an easy walk of downtown, we lost the carport roof to a maybe-EF1 and got near-missed by at least three bigger ones over the course of ten years. One I know for sure was an EF4 and touched down less than a mile from our place. There were fatalities. Hundred-year-old trees were all over the road. It was serious shit. So yeah, city-dwellers aren't safe from nadoes. Those bastids will come downtown and get you. :/

I've lived in C-bus all my life, and I haven't heard anything super serious except for 96 when a EF2 decide to show up to Red White and Boom. I've seen more and heard more horror stories while living in rural Knox county, but then again Ohio sits in a particular spot. Half of it is on plains the other half on the foot hills.

But I agree though Jesse. however people assume being in the city is safer. Like I said, OK-city got screwed in what wasn't 98?

OK, i need that shirt for my stormchasing friend in FL. like, NEED. not want. because i have told him several times he was too stupid to live, most recently when he got debris dropped on his windshield and had to drive with his head out the window to be able to see because it made a BIG FUCKING SPIDERWEB of cracks that he couldn't see through.

We're kinda playing with the idea of making the shirt, actually. We're just not sure where.

Man, am I the only one who kind of wants to Pinch Mercy hard for taking this too seriously?
They could get FUNDING with those shirts.
People would buy them to show their support. Yeah, not that serious, but hillarious and cool. people think they know what stormcchasers are, andthat's it- with the added bonus of a secondary caution that people shouldn't do this. First subltey withte kilikamaze and then more blatantly with 'too stupid to live.'

Eeeeee, Helix! *flailflailflail* How I've missed you, my love~!

THAT SHIRT. I want one. I need one for my life. Oh my god I want one so bad. T_T

I love that you have back-to-back Star Wars and Doctor Who references. And I really really really love this line: Cory's eyes were alight with mischief, and it was making Bash feel like debris in an updraft. GUH. Best storm chaser swoopy in-love feeling analogy EVER. ...There should be more stories about scientists in love. Why aren't there more stories about scientists in love? MAYBE I SHOULD WRITE ONE TOO.
