I wish I knew more folks up that way. You know, I don't know that I appreciated that you all have about 300K people in your area (What's that, like half the state's population?). You'd imagine that there must be some other like minded folks around you though (Maybe even put up a sign at the local college). Is this venue the way the local furs tend to communicate? I'd say throw an ad there, but I'd bet any locals on there already know you're looking, eh? Best of luck with you and your hunt. If you have room for more 'roomates' and can't find them, might a solution be to look for a smaller place while you're looking for others to fill your big place?
Lol, you linked to my boyfriend's forum, AKCommunity. It's not active enough for an ad to really do anything though. And unfortunately, the solution you suggested would not work because this is a home we purchased and the only way we'd be able to move out of it is if we're forced to by not being able to pay the mortgage. So we're in a tight situation where we -have- to find roommates, or lose the house.

have you had any luck finding roommates down there? one of my friends is planning to move down to anchorage soon if he hears back about a job there
