The promos for my favourite show actually make me embarrassed to watch it

Hmm, I actually thought the plot was okay for the last few epps and mostly loved the finale EXCEPT for the Rex vs. Esther part because I agree, Rex should have died rather than Esther...:/ Though TBH that is what I was expecting, so I guess at least it wasn't predictable? O_o Gwen was so flawless and amazing and HBIC though, loved the opener about her dad too, god....

And ugh CW Promo Monkeys are THE WORST, that promo...wut? :s I hope the fruit thing isn't a lame attempt to play off Twilight, you're trying to distance yourself from that...and I think Klaus is there since he's the one Stefan is going off with for much of the season, part of the tension over Elena. Or they just wanted another hot guy and Elijah is still stashed away, IDK.

The plot got a little cracky and weird to me which would usually be fine in a RTD finale EXCEPT THAT so much of the series had been grounded in heavy realism including all the Holocaust imagery that to veer suddenly to that wall thing in Shanghai felt a bit weird. But Gwen is the actual best forever.

I actually wonder if they're trying to pull off True Blood? Actually I have no idea what they are trying to do but I need them to stop. And all those shots of Stefan and Damon pulling at pieces of Elena were so gross, ugh, STOP IT NOW CW AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

Those promos are soooooo cheesy. I have been avoiding them, because every TVD fan on my f-list has been posting them, but I had to figure out what the hell you were talking about with the fruit. You made me watch it. Gah. Oh, well, the promos never really seem to have much to do with the episodes

I HAVE SO MUCH SECOND-HAND EMBARRASSMENT. I'm so relieved I didn't see any promotion for TVD before watching it.

I could just watch Amy and Rory forever. Eleven doesn't even have to be there.

Yeah IA. The Doctor was so cold and alien in this episode, which okay fine if that's what they were going for but I am so confused by what/if Eleven even has a character arc that is su pposed to be heading towards some kind of point.

I agree with you on Torchwood. Rex should have died, Esther should have lived, no one but Jack should have been immortal

BASICALLY THIS. I totally would have been okay with both Rex and Jack making their sacrifice and dying and Esther and Gwen being able to walk off into the sunset together.

OMG THANK YOU. I have no idea what's up with the bloody fruit, and those are my least favorite promo pictures ever. Nor do I know why Klaus is being so heavily featured. Not that I don't like Klaus, but he gets his own promos now? And of course I'm kind of wondering where they're going to go with him in S3. They can't make him good, but he can't be an 'out to get them' bad guy, because he could kill them all within 0.2 seconds if that's his agenda.

Klaus is pretty far from being my favourite ngl though I am interested in him getting some characterization next season beyond "gross and misogynistic." The way these promos are set up though have all these guys fighting over Elena and just NO NO MAKE IT STOP. Plus the fruit thing is so bizarre.

b) why Klaus is now an honourary member of the threesome (foursome?) even though Caroline, Bonnie, or Elijah would be better choices.
Probably because he's going to be the main antagonist. Well at least for the beginning of the season. Who knows how things will end up by the end of the season.

I'm trying not to think much about season 3 at all. It'll only freak me out. I'm just planning on enjoying it while it's happening and then think about it later.

Also how fabulous was Karen Gillan? I loved her portrayal of older!Amy. She somehow managed to tone down all her sparkle and charisma and change into someone who was hardened and lonely and a little bitter. I hadn't really been
