Stefan/Elena during this episode BROKE MY HEART A MILLION TIMES OVER THEN PAUL WESLEY'S FACE STOMPED ON IT BECAUSE I CAN'T HELP BUT CRY WHEN HE DOES.
That scene with Stefan/Elena on the cliff was THE MOST PERFECT SCENE EVER. I can't even - there are no words for how absolutely lovely and painful it was. AND THEN THE CLOSE YOUR EYES SCENE HAPPENED AND ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CRY ALONE IN A CORNER FOREVER
So... I love this picspam and I HATE IT FOR MAKING ME ALL TEARY AGAIN.
It's funny because as a whole episode I'm not sure that it's as good as early S2 but the blood drinking scene was just everything I want from this show; I still can't believe that it's real! I was trying to describe it earlier but there just aren't enough words to describe how completely satisfied I was with that scene - Damon's blind action, Elena's terror and disgust, Stefan's rage, Jenna & Alaric's shock, all of them were just so right.
When this show gets it right, it really is just fantastic...

YES. I'm so obsessed with this scene. I'm so excited that the show went there. I love that it forced Elena and Stefan to talk about it and I love that Elena's reaction was everything I wanted and more. So many hearts.
It's funny you say it's not as good as early S2. I watched the show all at once up to Katerina, so while I can safely say that overall I LOVE S2 MORE THAN ANYTHING, I would also say that most of my very favourite episodes were all in the early chunk of S2. I think delving into the Original/curse plot dragged things down a little. BUT it also gave us Elijah, so I'm not sure I'm too bothered.
I am in the library and tearing up like crazy right now, this episode was so beautiful and Stefan/Elena broke my heart and made me smile, I LOVED that she didn't want to be a vampire and I loved even more that he didn't want her to be either because he knew she didn't want it.
Also, the last scene, Stefan was trying so hard to be strong but he broke down at that moment and didn't want to let her go and I still adored how they work together, the amount of give and take between them and how he respects her so much he lets her make her own decisions.
EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE. I have been itching to do a picspam since I watched it last week lol.

Such a perfect scene. I love when Paul Wesley does the emotional moments. He does it so well and it makes my heart crack. :|
