I really enjoyed this episode of TVD, mostly because of the abundance of Katherine, I think. TY once again for confirming my preference for Stefan. And also ty for recapping the show with the important stuff because I have the tendency to chat on MSN at the same time I am watching the show.
I AM SORRY. I SWEAR I HAVE ADD. Fringe and Doctor Who are probably the only shows that I don't multitask during. And then probably not even Doctor Who. I mean Frances when I am watching Hamlet I am even on MSN.
LOLOL. She had very pretty hair in this episode. I mean, she normally does, but the curls looked especially perfect.
Nnnngh. The stuff with Damon and Andie. It is so confusing for me because compulsion clearly hasn't turned her into a total zombie (I mean, she was able to say that she wanted Damon to feed from a blood bag instead of just mindlessly letting Damon do whatever he wants). So, why did she choose to stick around at the end until Damon compelled her to leave? Was it because of previous compulsions? Or did she actually want to be there because her feelings for Damon have some basis in reality? Ugh. I just really feel like I don't know what the writers are trying to say with the whole Damon/Andie mess. That said, I hope tonight was the end of it, so we can move on from pretending that Damon is actually supposed to be struggling with his humanity while at the same time keeping a human as a pet. CAN WE GET SOME ACTUAL CHARACTER GROWTH NOW PLEASE? (Oh and I was so happy when Stefan called Damon out for what he was doing. I literally yelled "FUCKING FINALLY!" at my computer screen
( ... )
Ah. Ok. Tbh, I try to block all Damon/Andie scenes from my memory because it causes me so much frustration because I don't hate Damon. I think he has the potential to be a really interesting character. But this whole Andie plot was a billion giant steps back for him at a time when he's slowly becoming one of Our Heroes and I just don't get wtf the writers were trying to do. UGH. IT IS GROSS AND IT MAKES NO SENSE.
I feel your pain,bb. His redemption arc could have been v. interesting if it had been done right. I mean, I feel he was more redeemable in S1 than he is now & he was a huge asshole back then. I really don't get what the writers are trying to do with him.
I felt that way a little bit in this episode too tbh. Like I love my show/S2 SO MUCH but Damon's actions bother me on this really visceral level - and it doesn't help that so many people in this fandom then go on to apologize for him.
