I really think Spacek needs a game or two off, but he won't get it. I think we will kill him by the end of the season, because he just keeps playing through it and he is getting injured every game it seems.

BUT MORE ON TOPIC: I like your post, and agree that Bill is a creepy, stalkerish, BAD boyfriend on so many levels. Stephen doesn't always work for me, but as far as boyfriend skills go he does pretty well for being a vamp, and he learns quickly, which is rare in the genre.... I've only seen bits of season 2 though.

LOL loved this!! my dislike for some of Bill Compton's behavior knows no bounds ("you are mahne!" ugghh *eyeroll*) so this made me chipper =P

One thing I really like about Stefan (and you mentioned it here), particularly in contrast to Bill, is that he actually tries to blend into Elena's life and the lives of her friends/family (his awesome friendship with Caroline, his looking our for Jeremy, etc) where Bill just doesn't seem to take that same intiative unless pushed (and I mean really pushed) & it just makes him seem very douchey considering how starkly it contrasts with his fixation on "regaining his humanity."

In conclusion, Stefan Salvatore PAWNS Bill Compton (y)

Ugh yeah I can't. Every episode I just want to tell him his much better Stefan is.

Yeah definitely. One thing I find interesting about Stefan is his willingness to actually form connections and live a life and stuff. It takes pressure off Elena too to be the only light in his life and reason for living etc.

Reading you squee about Stefan/Elena always makes me like them a little more than I actually do.

I read the first book of the series True Blood is based on and I was really UNIMPRESSED. I pretty much hated all the characters, especially Sookie and Bill. So I figured I better avoid all further forays into that universe, even though the premise is fun and interesting.
