So NBC cut out a LOT of the closing ceremony, and did it in such a sneaky way that I didn't realize I missed at least half until I got online...but omg. It sounds like it was one giant acid trip. Dear Canada, I love you, and I haven't even seen this. It's going to be downloaded tomorrow for sure and I'm going to giggle like a little schoolgirl.

And I made a promise to myself that if Apolo competes in 2014 (totes is), I'm going to Sochi, which I'm already regretting. What a seriously depressing presentation that didn't make any sense (and not in an acid trip way). Was there any commentary about it being live in Russia? Cuz it was super dark and sad. Do they not have lights? They've got money to bring EVERYONE on a plane to Canada, so why not put a few lights up when they film the figure skaters?

Ow I think you will not be disappointed if you go in Sochi because my country always trying too look cool and show itself like it's the best country ever(which is not true :))They'll do everything just to please guests.

Really? EXCELLENT. I've always wanted to go to Russia but the presentation was so serious (but maybe it looked more so because Canada was so not serious!).

Though I guess to be fair to Team Canada, they responded hard and strong to the overtime instead of just handing the momentum to Team USA.

That was amazing. They could've slipped into depression SO EASILY. Hell, *I* did. When the US scored in the last fucking minute, I really thought it was over, honestly. I was on the phone with my brother, babbling on just to calm down my nerves (didn't work)... and then Crosby happened :D

What can I say. I also really enjoy the way Canadians can poke fun at themselves which was clearly what the Closing Ceremonies were all about.

The opening number! That was awesome. I think it means a lot that a country can 'poke fun' at itself, like you said.

And I must add that I'm so glad Canada rocked these Olympics, not only because I love Canada, but also because it feels so amazing for a country to be a part of such an adventure at home. I will miss those games too! :(

Basically! I was near tears and really angry and disappointed. Oh, hockey, why do you do the things to me that you do. So you're right, it was pretty amazing that they pulled themselves together and went out and won it in OT.
