But congratulations! The Canadians played a great game. I think. I don't really understand the finer points of Hockey. Just, you know, the puck goes in the goal :)
They did! Team USA played a good game, too, but couldn't quite capitalize on the same opportunities that Canada could. But I think both teams have a lot to be proud of.
Yeah, their sad-panda faces were getting to me for a bit. But then they showed one person on Team Canada with those white Kanye slit sunglasses THAT HAD MAPLE LEAVES ON THEM!!
One thing I like about women's hockey is that their kids are more likely to be brought onto the ice. I like being reminded that these women are extraordinary athletes AND mothers.
For a few seconds, I wanted to be like "I TAKE IT BACK, WE CAN SHARE THE GOLD, CHEER UP BBs" but then the crowd started chanting "USA" and one of the girls waved and awww... :)

YES! You definitely don't get that with the men, but yeah, there's got to be a huge sacrifice in terms of work/family balance for these women. And they don't even make the 7 million a year that the men do.
lol, women hockey and that song! I think of you. :D
Erm, was that Harper standing next to Gretzky? It sorta looked like him but sorta didn't, but all I could think was "if it's Harper, I bet he seriously fanboyed over Gretzky"
He's aged. I heard he's also donating money to the Olympic and Paralympic organizations for tickets to these events, which (for some reason unbeknownst to me) people are flipping over, as in, "give him the tickets for free". Uh, what? does not compute *brain explodes*

I loved when they started chanting "USA." Way to show the world that we can be good winners. :D
