Surprise! NBC appears to be re-thinking the decision to cast a Scottish actor in an American role with an American accent because WHO WOULD EVER DO THAT, MY GOD. Seriously, though, NBC, just keep right on imploding in on yourself. You're doing great at that ( Read more... )

*Pets you*

XD I have nothing to say, I am just amused. And trying to avoid work.

Also, our TV plans for a Scottish lawyer in Canada or whatever it was are TOTALLY SET now.

I'm America, have we met?

No seriously, it might do well in the better educated markets but the rest of the nation will be confused because he's not speaking "American."

SERIOUSLY. I bat half the casting people were like "OMG ACCENT SQUEE" and yet somehow nobody made the connection that this could work on TV.

LOL YES. I feel bad for him (though not SHOCKED or anything), but I mean I probably wouldn't have watched it anyway.

Yeah it seems like a sad waste of effort for all involved but I'm sure he can find something else. And... possibly something that sounds more appealing.

I'm glad that my suspicious were right. Also, I feel like "Barty Crouch Jr. Is Not Your Lawyer, And Also Is Totally Not Going To Kill You" was a bad idea in the US.

Your plans are not super-secret because I know ALL about them. Although what I want to know is, what's the premise? I want to say father-son duo that fights demons, but that's a little derivative of Supernatural. But they definitely need to own/live in a big library.

The only BAD thing I could see happening is Joss delaying the plot of the show by filming 98638902 filler episodes and thus resulting in his third show cancelled.
