what does this count?
for example does it count that I am reading
this your entry from my friends page or only
if I visit your website itself?

If you are reading my entry from your friends page it is supposed that a link is going into my homepage and for that reason the counter counts your reading as access. Everytime a friend open the friends page and an entry of mine is charged, the counter marks it as access. Naturally if you refresh your friends page the counter doesnt mark twice or more (it identifies your IP address once). But this kind of counter is very good to know how much people and from where they are: every day there is a count refresh.

I have clustermaps and maploco on my user info page page to log the location of people who visit my user info page. It also logs the location of their ISP.
maploco refreshes daily and gives the count of new visitors.
