I have no motivation to finish anything these days. And I have a pretty Number Theory book and several maths problems involving toys falling over that need my attention (seriously, I didn't think these things could get any more improbable). So I'm procrastinating, obviously - you're kinda lucky, because I had some pic spam but tinypic is pissing me ( Read more... )

actual downloads - clutter, stupid image hosting, distraction

Picspam, it needs to happen!

I don't think what you typed sound xenophobic at all. You live in Britain so the first place you imagine a AU world to be is Britain. I live in America so I automatically think America, and so on with that.

Hopefully if tinypic stops being a bitch >_>

Thank you, and I wouldn't be bothered by someone else saying so about their country, but to some part of my mind it came off as obnoxiously patriotic 'even my sims are british' kind of deal xD When I was actually trying to muse on why I dislike simlish.

I think I understand why you dislike simlish, because it's along the reason I dislike it as well. When I make things for myself, a third of the time it's because what they say. How am I supposed to be amused when my sim wears a t-shirt that says " My feminist Marxist dialectic brings all the boys to the yard " if it is in simlish and I can't read it?

thanks a bunch! And i'm totally with you on the realistic thing. I want them to live in a miniworld too ha. Though I secretly admire MM somewhat.

May I ask where you got those shelf recolors from?

I like alot of MM, but I couldn't go all out. People who make the maxis world work for them, like strange_tomato, are pretty cool though.

And the shelf recolours are from here. I meant to link them in the original post, they're lovely.

I agree completely Phobia, Neena, and others pull it off really well. And thank you for the link!

Books make me all sorts of happy, whether they're real ones or pixels. Snagged, thanks!

Heh, I understand what you mean. I prefer real-world settings over simlish too. Well, pseudo-British in my case; you're the closest English-speaking lot from here, after all (and Dutch would just look all kinds of silly).
