I was going to get the other dead car towed away. I had a tow on the way. Went to check on title and keys, just to be doubly sure. AND I CAN'T FIND THE TITLE! Ack! It isn't in the fire safe with the others, where it should be. I don't know where to start looking. Beginning a search when your parmeters are nearly infinite is frusterating. So

Can't you just have them haul it away and sign something that states that you promise nobody is going to come looking for it later?

Yes, but basically, they add the cost of a new title to the towing cost. Which is silly, when it's about to be crushed. Before I order a new title, I'll find out which way would be cheaper. But I want to see if I can find it, first.
