[Public | Audio]Greetings. I have returned from my mission that I took to assist my inmate. It has been seven months and three days according to my internal chronometer since my departure. I am unsure how much time has elapsed on the Barge yet, however I am quite certain that something must have happened in my absence, so I would appreciate ( Read more... )

I'd be happy to meet with you. I've just been assigned to an inmate as his interim warden, however, so I'd like to leave the next few days open for him to pick a meeting time. Does Friday sound good?

That sounds suitable. I will keep my schedule open for that day.

Excellent! I look forward to it. If something comes up between now and then, just let me know. Rescheduling is never a problem.

I'mg glad you've returned safely. I'm not certain you missed a great deal. The floodwaters compelled us to don our costumes, and if I recall corectly, we became that which we depicted. I found it all highly amusing, as did Coyolxauhqui. People still complained, however. Did you achieve what you set out to do?

That was all? ....I am relatively pleasantly surprised.... not about the complaining, but the minimal destruction. I am glad she was amused by the activity as well. Keeping her occupied with games seems to be a productive tactic. [Little does he know.]

Yes. I was successful.

Do you wish to have your gift?

Indeed, though she had no idea of who she is at the time- none of us did, I'd wager. Our costumes were even of her choosing, when she found the masks in Salem- we became Señor and Catrina Calavera. One day, if you haven't already heard of it, I'll have to show you documentation of the Mexican Day of the Dead.

[Rustling.] Certainly! I've got one for you as well, in fact. You like sweets, don't you? I'd forgotten.

I am familiar with its practice and customs.

And I do enjoy their taste, so I will not be opposed to sampling something new.

I hope your wait has not been vexing. How is your healing progressing?

I have brought you back a bottle of wine from Geneva and some photographs. Though you may wish to partake of the wine first.

The wait has not been vexing. The infirmary stuff remain very pleasant. [And, he's not mentioning the healing process. Oh, denial.]

I imagine that I will quite enjoy the wine. What are these... photographs of? [Victor stumbles over the word photograph. He has some concept of what it is, but he's not very familiar with it.]

I discovered what happened to your creation, and it is something that you must know. [Because this place had proven to him the end of the book might not be accurate.]

And how is Victor these days?

He continues to be my inmate, which is the only information that is relevant to you.

Sure. You keep thinking that, Data.

It is knowledge rather than speculation, and any other harassment will be reported to your warden. If I am unable to contact her, then I will ask one to be assigned in the interim. I expect this to be understood, as you are obviously capable of reading even if simultaneously remaining wilfully ignorant.

You've been gone about three days, I think. And ya missed people turning into their halloween costumes. I must admit I'm rather glad that I didn't play Watson.

I was my seven year old self though.

That is.... shorter than I expected. Though I believe I would have enjoyed the persona of Sherlock. ...Though as I was informed, you had no recollection of your previous self so it may not have been as gratifying as I would consider.

Nope, I was for all intents and purposes seven, well, me at seven.

How did the trip go?

Very well, though if the assertions concerning the flood are accurate you may not appreciate the gift as much as I presumed.
