I don't lose him. He wanders off on his own, but he comes back by the end of the day, regardless. [He's saying this so casually like it was an obvious thing.]

Clearly he felt like visiting you today. [Of course, now that Hermes has, he was ready to go back to his owner now, still mewing happily at Alexei.]
