To those who fought in the war...

Thank you, and welcome back. I'm afraid words aren't enough to say how thankful all of us are to see everyone safe after fighting for our sake. If you've lost someone on the battlefield... I'm deeply sorry. They fought bravely, and I know they'll return to us soon...

[Words really aren't enough. Stella purses ( Read more... )

[No, not really.]

[...]

... a sixth sense. For detecting seas. [Ugh. You should never have to explain the joke.]

... Oh! I see. [Well then, have a belated chuckle!] Yes, you could say that!

...That can't be right. Ocean doesn't just appear out of nowhere, and someone would have noticed it by now. [Though she does sound unsure. She'd been feeling unsettled for a while, though she hadn't been able to pin down why. If Stella thought it was the sea....]

But what if it was too far away to notice? What if... say, the barrier expanded itself? [It wasn't too long ago that Stella was part of the ocean. There's no other way she can write off this feeling.]

[Fenimore is the least spiritually aligned of the entire household, forcing her to rely on her uncommon sense.] Why would they expand the barrier now of all times? Weren't they having trouble with their... [She waves her hands fruitlessly at the journal. She listened to the Malnosso broadcast, but most of it went over her head.] stuff?

That is true... [Stella, too, had problems with understanding their broadcast, as her knowledge of Luceti is... less than reliable. Still, she frowns over it, then widens her eyes a little.] Didn't they say something about tsunamis breaking past the barrier?

[But...he thought she was gone?]

Stella? You came back?

[... She recognizes that voice. Stella frowns, then leans a little closer to the journal-

Wait. This was... The Unseen. Jay, right? He helped Senel when...]

... Jay?

...That's right. You haven't forgotten me, have you?

[It wouldn't be too surprising, but it'd still be disappointing.]

[Then she'll just keep quiet about the fact that she did, at first. Instead, she just smiles reassuringly. Stella's memories of him are foggy, just like everyone else she's met here whom she knew before, but at least the ones of him are stronger, if only for the fact that she watched him in their world, too.]

No, not at all. I don't... remember a lot, but I haven't forgotten you.

[Amusingly enough, Yuri was just about to head out of the house when Stella starts knocking on the door. Nice timing there.

Regardless. Opening door now.]

Huh? ... Stella?

[Seeing Yuri come to the door makes Stella smile to herself, just happy to see that he's here and unhurt. She moves to hold out a hand as if to shake his, then she pulls it back, hesitates for a second, and then steps forward to give him a good hug around his middle.]

... Welcome back.

[... f-ffff, hugging. At least this time it's a girl (and one that's not sobbing, on top of that). Still, he's never really any good with these things when they happen, so have an awkward half-hug back, Stella. And he totally didn't look surprised and slightly embarrassed when the hug initially happened, shush.]

Thanks ... [... And smirk. Because the best thing to do when you're not sure how to act is tease.] You must've really missed me, coming by and doing this.

[Of course he didn't. What's with all the boys she cares about being all awkward with hugs, jeez. Thankfully for Yuri, though, it won't last long, and she soon steps back and places her hands on her hips. That's some logic she can agree with right there.] Oh, terribly so. I pined for you every night.
