Locked to Leela

How many months since he had last felt the need to take this seat? To sit here in the museum he had once called home when he'd first come to Las Vegas, watching the crowds and yet seeing none of them.

Life was a constant circle, and he had returned to where it all began.

She had gotten the note, and the ring. Her mind a torrent of questions, confusion, and dread she dressed carefully for this meeting. She outlined her eyes in smoky grey, added mascarra. A touch of berry gloss on her lips and finally - her scent. Roses and musk - very light, very soft.

Wearing the same dress> she had worn to Liz's wedding the day before - and with the cameo he gave her on a lavender velvet ribbon around her neck, she entered the museum. The ring he had given her fit well on her ring finger.

Turning the corner, walking into the room, she spotted him instantly. Hesitating a mere second, eyes darkening with worry and a touch of fear she started walking towards him.

Dressed formally, suede trousers, a tailored jacket of bright midnight velvet, a spill of lace at throat and wrist. He looked more like an exhibit than a guest of the museum.

Rising as he spots that bright shock of violet, bowing to her regally as he once had upon meeting her here.

"It is good to see you once more, My Lady.' Voice soft, tender, his cheeks and skin looking less gaunt but his eyes still seem haunted.

Eyes tracing him up and down, she commits him to memory once more. Skirts fluttering slightly, she gracefully lowers into a small curtsy, rising up and looking at him.

"Good afternoon, Asher. It is good to see you as well." She gives him a subdued, quiet smile, simply glad to be near him once more.

Taking her hand, kissing the back of it gently, eyes locked with hers.

"Do you wish to speak here or would you rather go somewhere else? The park perhaps? Or anywhere?"

The phone call was short and sweet, a message left.

"Leela's breaking down. Said she was done with all of us. Told me to let you know. Don't know where she went, seems she skipped town. Out."
