Goodbye says it all

Sitting at a table in the museum cafe, the table before Asher littered with crumpled balls of linen paper. In his hand is a Monte Blanc fountain pen, the nibbed end to paper once more. But he writes slowly, pausing often to try and think.

A frown on the side of his mouth that shows, that single orb of glacier blue narrowed, saddened.

[walks in, slowly walks over to get a coke from the soda fountain. Turns, sees him and gives him a half-wave]

Hey Asher.

Hearing his name, the man looks up... and pales.

Setting the pen down, carefully taking the latest sheet and crumpling it as well.

"Good afternoon, Leela. I trust you are well."

Caught up in her own thoughts, doesn't see him pale.

..."I'm alive. Not sure what what else is going on" soft smile "But it hasn't killed me, so I'm waiting for that 'get stronger' part to kick in."

"Are you sitting alone - you look busy, I don't want to intrude."

"No, please.. I was...'

Stopping, merely gathering all of those paper balls, rising with a nod of his to take them to the receptacle, returning with a smile.

"No, please, sit. I was merely...'

Bowing his head.

"I was writing a goodbye, Leela."
