Currently baking a trial muffin...bean muffins.  I've cooked with beans in place of flour before so I know it works as a replacement, but we'll see how a muffin...normally completely based on flour and sugar...does when it's all beans with some oatmeal and honey.  (It's a mix from Bean Ladies so I know it'll turn out, but...I don't know if it'll be ( Read more... )

Oh, I forgot! Due to a temporary increase in available funds, I was able to buy a treadmill last week. 1-younger-sis and I put it together right away, and it's a very nice machine. I actually really like treadmills. They're right in the comfort of my own living room, and even if you've got no energy, you can amble quietly on one for half an hour (or multiple hours) and it makes your digestion run smoother and keeps your bone density up and helps get rid of meaningless sleepiness...and you can watch TV or use your tablet (or even your laptop, if you set it up) and listen to music and I just like treadmills. They're...peaceful. Sort of comforting. Super adjustable. I just like them, and my one that I used for 10 to 15 years was a cheapo that I used until it started to fall apart, stopped a few years ago by supposed plantar fasciitis. (Though I'm not sure that's what it really was. It could also have been MS misfirings...nerve issues are always a risk. I also have extremely tight Achilles tendons, which are a detriment.)

Not too bad. Not great, though. (I'd add a bunch of cinnamon if I made them again...and probably a bit of applesauce.) They tasted like slightly dully-flavoured generic muffins. Very un-sweet and slightly heavy, but not very.
