Not yet. I realized two things. I was trying to force one person into two roles, so that needs to be fixed. Second, my problem with writing has been tied to dismay over publishing contracts. The more I learned of them, and I learned a doozy in these years, the more I became anxious. Everyone kept telling me don't get attached to characters because the publishing firm can kill them.
I do have a short out on review. But I didn't get this in my head until last year. I'm trying shorts while I finish up the first story. At least with short stories they don't OWN your life. Not to mention they are a good marketing loss leader as long as only first print rights are sold.
