The End of "The Dark Tower"

Dear Stephen King,

I hate you.

The first of many reasons being that you write these horribly lovely characters that I get so attached to, and then rip them away from me just when I think they're going to make it. I don't think I've cried over a book so much in my life. Even when Sirius died in Harry Potter and I moped around broken-hearted for ( Read more... )

everything is ka, curse you stephen king, a girl thing, jake chambers is the best name ever, series: the dark tower

ONE of these days I'll re-read the series. The last I stopped at was right before Wizard and Glass came out. I believe my older sis finally finished the series recently. I'm really curious now to see how much has changed as time went on though from what I read after the last book came out, I probably won't be happy.

So far my fav. books by him are The Eyes of the Dragon (if you haven't read it yet, you should), Rose Madder, The Talisman & the book that continued once Jack grew up called Black House (which had me close to tears near the end too).

I heard the Green Mile was pretty good too book wise. I only saw the movie as I'm waiting for mom to get a hold of the book for me at her work.

I think The Dark Tower is one of those series you have to have a love/hate relationship with. You'll either love or hate the ending and there were things in the books themselves I didn't really agree with it, but I have to say I'm still glad I read all seven. ;D

I'll have to look up The Eyes of the Dragon now. Might as well keep up this Stephen King kick.

Yeah, this was ages ago. I can't even remember what he said about it, but I found it to be pretty ridiculous (at least coming from him).

Personally, I've never read the series, but I'm thinking that maybe I should add it to my 52 Books. Hmmm? But would I regret it? XD

When Sirius died... T____________T

You should if you like fantasy. I mean, heck, it is Stephen King, even if I am still wibbling at the ending. ;D
