Silverbullets fic: Little things said and done

Sam&Dean, with spoilers through 7.17. 2,300 words.
Written for the prompt of always on my mind from oddishly for silverbullets. And I wrote the fic before I realized it was a song title and looked it up, oops! I hope it's still on-prompt enough, especially since I had to cut the fic short.

There's an argument I get for saying they put too many things in that episode: there wasn't much time for tender brother care! But it lives on in fandom's heart. Just look at Dean's frantic face all through that episode; you know he bullied Sam back to health afterwards.Thank you!

It's been shown to cause death in lab animals, and there's apparently a (very rare) human genetic disorder which causes total insomnia and is fatal. Probably less quickly than in Show/this fic, but Sam's illness is spiritual in nature, after all.

This is very much exactly what I wanted to see after they left the hospital. True, it wouldn't make for a very exciting tv episode, but I doubt there's a fan out there would would mind watching this for an hour. I love Dean in protective!bigbrother mode - driving himself into the ground and then watching Sam sleep. Thank you so much!

That feels like that would be what would have happened after the episode. I like that you deal with the reality of leaving a hospital with a bunch of bodies in the parking lot and that you have them with a police scanner in the car. Nice details.

Haha, yeah! As I was writing this I realized how much this ep kind of glossed over the aftermath of the demons chasing Castiel and the resulting pile of bodies that probably had the hospital buzzing with police and emergency staff, and couldn't resist playing with it a little bit. Thanks for reading! I'm glad it fit in well well with canon for you.
