I really like the show "House". I saw previews for it and thought it looked sort of interesting, but didn't really want to get into a new show... But I ended up watching an episode tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me cry four times. First, when the first baby died. Then, when the parents of the second baby were invited in to hold up

So, I check in every once in a while and what do I find? No updates. The same old stuff. Yesterday's news. Actually, it's not even yesterday's, it's Monday's. Boring. It's like checking the Ninjai website...

except that I got an email from the good folks at the ninjai website promising me that the next chapter would be released on 25 Jan, with the final installment coming three weeks afterward. Hurray.

In other news ('cause some of us actually have some) I finished Stress of Her Regard. I liked it, but not as much as most of Powers' other books. I think that if we had read Drawing & Stress before any other Tim Powers books we would be blown away, but because we read all of his best stuff first his other stuff doesn't seem as good. The Hapsburg king should get together with that guy supsended in the building in Egypt from Anubis and the Fisher King from Drawing and have a party, I think. And the Lamiae should get together with the Djinn and have a party.
