Why would anybody laugh at it? It's very reasonable, considering it's all volunteer work.

I'm afraid I'll have to pass on that offer, thank you. I'm confident of my capabilities in defending myself, and though my line of work back home requires me to constantly protect people, I'm considering this kidnapping as a sort of vacation. Another time, perhaps.
